7-year old daughter started taking piano lessons a little more than a year ago

The results of traditional piano teaching methods were not stellar in my case. After years of stops and starts, I had a repertoire of two songs that I could eventually play fairly fluently, if I had sheet music in front of me. Not until I found the Simply Music method did I ever feel I could really play piano. I now have a significant repertoire, I feel empowered to improvise and create music of my own, and I have developed a much better understanding of the language of music.
